Unveiling during the 49th Barcolana sailing regatta in Trieste, illycaffè and Maurizio Galimberti present a preview of the latest illy Art Collection. Captured by the lens of Galimberti, this collection adorns Matteo Thun's 1991 cup with iconic locations in Trieste, Venice, Milan, Florence, Pisa, and Rome—a stylish journey from the birthplace of illy to the heart of Italy's capital. The set includes 6 espresso cups.
The Art Design:
Renowned photographer Maurizio Galimberti, known as the 'instant artist' for his Polaroid mosaics, lends his talent to this edition. Barcolana 2017 features the majestic sail as its centerpiece, capturing its full height from the hull to the mast's tip against a backdrop of the blue sky in seamless harmony with the sea of Trieste.
